Review of the Farmville Facebook Application

By Bruce Carl

Facebook is now said to have tens of millions of users. Facebook gives profiles the option to look for long lost relatives. In addition, Facebook offers profile owners the ability to play games and share gifts with other Facebook profiles. Facebook games are called applications. A very popular application is Farmville.

Farmville Facebook application allows Facebook users to create a Facebook farm. Facebook users begin using Farmville Facebook application cultivating a Farmville farm with a size of eight blocks by eight blocks. Farmville profile owners can start planting crops, buying animals, or even adding decorations.

Users have the chance to procure season specific decorations. Near Halloween season, users can purchase decorations like a "spooky" tree, tombstones, and/or a haunted house. Near Thanksgiving, users are offered decorations that are composed of such things as hay stacks, hay piles, leaf piles, and red or yellow maple trees. Seasonal decorations provide users the ability to personalize their farms a personal touch.

Users generate money by planting and harvesting crops. Planting crops takes a little waiting. Crops are required to planted before they can be harvested. For example, Strawberries take four hours to grow and Pumpkins take 8 hours. Once ready for harvesting, you will earn money from each type of crop.

Earning cash gives you the opportunity to advance, to the next level. Increasing your money provides the opportunity to purchase increasingly more expensive crops. Remember, increasingly more expensive plants will require more time to grow. But, these more expensive crops produce a larger amount of money.

Farmville will allow users to buy seeders, harvesters, and tractors. Planting, plowing, and harvesting plants can easily be very a time consuming process. Purchasing more equipment will cut the duration of time the part of the game requires.

Users can assist their friends' land. You can send your friends a neighbor invitation. For every friend who accepts the invitation, you will gain one neighbor. Users have the ability to visit their neighbors' land. Users can increase their experience by helping chase off pests and/or fertilizing plants.

Just as Facebook allows you to reconnect with long lost friends and relatives, Facebook applications provide a great way to spend some time relaxing. Farmville Facebook application gives you the opportunity to buy crops, watch them grow, and to sell them. Selling crops allows you to earn money for farm equipment, decorations, animals, and even to buy a bigger farm. Whether you are a farmer, have a hobby farm, or always wanted to feel like a farmer, Farmville provides hours of enjoyment.
